Roman Horbal says:

where did you aluminum sheets from?

Julian Sweeney says:

You should use a hockey puck when you jack it up, so its not metal on metal. Saves car parts and makes jacking easier

Jhouse says:

A very anal comment but Chris we know you know across is across and not acrossed or some even say acrosst yes with a t. Anyway. Just say it right

Siriax says:

I hope one day to see a 2-stroke diesel Prius on this channel. Recycle an old engine, and a knackered Prius in one go!

iseewhatyoudidthere says:

the knocked over spray bottle in the background is a tripping hazard, you should take care of that

R O M C H O M P A says:

Should have designed some form of corrugation, or bending some lines into it to make it more rigid, still could.

Joe Loyd says:

Chris, please don't forget the eye protection when you're drilling/grinding! Hate to see you end up like idiot I know 🙁 that ended up with a small bit of metal lodged in his eye….Which the eye docs had to remove and then take a dremel to my…errr…I mean his, cornea!……trust me that sucked!….

A fellow Evora owner in VA…

Brad Guy says:

Bead role some beads into it, it will help stiffen it up.

Justin nitsuj says:

5 grand winnings get a hoist

Evan Morris says:

“acrosst"

Andy Morrison says:

do you want this to be your daily?

Marin Milanovic says:

just one construction advice….probably it would be good if you reinforce that big flat sheet, it would wobble, and you will hear it..anyway, nice work!

M Myrvold says:

I put adblock on paus just for this channel. I watched a insurance ad and ended up buying it… Maybe i should stop using that program

Exidous says:

A 2"x4" is not expensive and will save you all sorts of damage when jacking up the car!!!

Chris4Prezident says:

I wish I could do what you do, you are so inspiring

Warlord Gaming says:

get a plexiglass windows it will be better then glass it is harder to brake then glass

sdlausen says:

No jack stands >_>

roejieks says:

What does a front under tray do for a car

Victor Halle says:

Instead of using a marker on the bolt head to mark out holes you can do this:
Put the bolts in (as you did) – line up the material against the bolt heads (as you did) – but the have some strong round magnets, use these on the other side of the bolt heads, the material will then be sandwiched between the head and magnet.
Then use a marker on the other side and draw a circle around the magnet – then you circle centre will be the bolt hole 😉
Hope it is understandable!

But it won't work on steel, only non magnetic materials.

Adrian Simpson says:

Chris, this is coming along nicely, Did I just watch you under the Evora without any form of jack stand etc? never get under a car relying on only a jack. We are along time dead mate so play safe. cheers

Myles Prower says:

You could hold the spacers in place with a tiny dab of glue.

art says:

your link to vote doesn't show your car. so I can't vote

PatonHaus says:

Nice work! If I can offer some constructive criticism… Next time you're working with aluminum, try to avoid cutting out portions with square corners. If you can, cut a radius as the corner instead of a hard 90. In this case the areas cut for wheel clearance could have included a radiused corner. Aluminum can sometimes crack at corners, especially under vibration and flex. Excellent work as always!

IMef says:

You can also use C.A.D to do that. Cardboard Aided Design. 🙂
