Sorry, that is not "all there is to it". You forgot probably the only reason that somebody would want to watch the how to video – how the heck do you remove the excess bottom slats and properly re-cut the binding ladder-like strings to length without the whole thing falling apart?

Thank You Tim I never would have install my blinds if it wasn't for your video. You made it very easy because the blinds I ordered had no directions at all. Thanks again. God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!

Patty FrechFrie says:

Thanks for posting this. I'm a first time home owner and I have 20 windows with no blinds. This is so simple. You'd have to be a complete moron to screw this up.

Darcy Nielson says:

You can't see anything you are doing from what directions do the brackets face to where you are drilling etc….You are talking but it is not visual. 🙁

Thanks! Just finished installing my 2in blinds in the kitchen window.  Awkward to install there because of the sink and counter…but got it done.  Of course, my useless drill is only a 12V so it was a joke trying to drill into the stud.  Made a lot of noise and the drill bit just spun going nowhere…LOL.  Tossing out as soon as I can budget for an 18V.  Couldn't get the screws to go all the way in either but had extra room in the window so it still worked out nonetheless.  The view out the window is to my neighbors house…so won't be pulling on the cord to open or close.  The rod opening the blind slats is good enough for light and for me. 😉
