What about one that folds away when you switch off. That way it just looks like a normal radio and you can get at your heater controls etc. Then it comes out when you need the screen.
you might find that the poor radio signal is due to the head unit needing one of the cable/antenna add on's that came in the box you unpacked, there did some an awful lot of extra cables.
Been on the fence about one of these for a while. Might have to order one after seeing this.
Do you have range for the screen fitting? Maybe you can rise it a little bit…
