Most people want to make their car louder by fitting a performance exhaust or other mods. That’s fine for outside the car, but I wanted to make the inside of my Lotus Elise a bit quieter and more livable. In this video, I’ll show you how I added sound deadening materials to bring a bit of refinement to the no frills, basic and loud interior of the Elise.

thanks for making this video. my elise did not have the carpet/dampener behind or under the seat so i think these mod would help a lot
Just use dinamat insulation that people use for there subwoofer upgrades it’s used specifically used for this purpose and to trap airwaves in the cabin location were there at
The best thing is carpeting the rear bulkhead. The other stuff doesn't make all that much difference but adds loads of weight.
Nice video. I had to change the plastic mats on my CR they had a big hole below the pedals. I cut up a carpet foot mat and noticed a big difference. Your video has inspired me to carpet under the seats as well. Thanks.
Maybe you bought the wrong car if you don't want noise.
Awesome video! I actually really enjoyed it! If you want, I could help get your channel monetized so you can get more fans, grow your channel and start making money off Youtube? If interested just reply to this comment
Is your driver seat from another Lotus variant? I notice that it has cutouts for the harness.
Thanks.
Great video but funny that a video about noise reduction includes maybe the most irritating and worst music ever, when removing the seats…! Haha!
