How would I find out if a engine is compatible with my vehicle? I have a 2013 Lincoln MKT with 3.7 and found a 2017 Ford Taurus with 3.7. It’s the engine and transmission together. I know about the 8th letter in the vin but how would I know the the harness and everything will work and wasn’t changed over the years?
Because the geniuses at ford made these crappy designs3.5 and 3.7. Water pump inside the timing housing connected to the timing gear. The cost of about 3K to do a water pump. If not, when the water pump fails it pours into the oil pan destroying an engine.
