I have an older version of one of these. For heavy welding they are
brilliant. My brother used it for hard face welding on his drill rig and
those rods take some grunt to arc. Mine is rated at 200amp but i reckon it
pumps out a hell of a lot more than that. Mine is on a wisconsin twin
engine. I have a video of it on my channel. Talk to any old farmer and they
will rave on all day how great these were. I don’t know the technical terms
but when you weld the impulses flow from one to another and make a
beautiful smooth weld. I recently bought a new lincoln gas/gasless mig and
i can’t fault it. Heavy machine and has a good bit of power to play with.
Really surprised me. They make them in Mexico now. Cigweld are made in
China and i am starting to hear people grumble about them not being very
good any more.
