Hey Licoln I have a 2001 Lincoln LS and I was wondering if the fan you
added was due to a Loud screaching noise that sounds like an airplane is
taking off?
Good video. Question,is this true for the V8 car as well as the car you
have which is a V6? I have a 2005. Did they switch to both fans being
electric in the later model?
@Chiba280crv the light will not come on because the computer don’t know any
better. It know if the car is getting hot cut on fan but there will be no
heat because the new fan. It has nothing to tell if the fan is not running
the only way it knows something is not right if the car stays hot
@Donnieboy007 good questions. The fan that is on mine ls is 14″ you don’t
really need anything bigger unless youre in hotter states. And yes it would
work on a 2000 for the ls 2000-2003 are hydraulic fans 2004 on up was has
electric fans.
Hello Again I had one other question.. What size Electric Fan did you get?
I went to Oreilly’s and bought the Fan that costs $69.99.. Im thinking its
the same one you got.. I just wanted to make sure… The Fan I bought is a
14” Fan.. But I was wondering if I need a 16”.. Thanks Again I hope to
hear from you soon..
Did You make a part 2 for this video? If so, whats it called? and if you
didnt can you make an updated video for this video? It would be greatly
appreciated.. There are lots of us Lincoln LS owners that are wanting to do
this Electric Fan Conversion.. Thanks again
Great Video..I own a 2000 Lincoln LS V8.. Im currently trying this
conversion myself.. My car keeps overheating.. I narrowed the problem down
to the hydraulic cooling fan.. What year is your car? would this conversion
work for a 2000? Since you have done this conversion have you ran into any
problems with it? Thank You for your info and help…
The Hydraulic fan system on these cars is controlled by the computer. With
more heat load from A/C and engine temp, the computer can increase fan
speed as needed. This take VERY little hp to drive. Converting to electric
fans still uses electric power. that power comes from the
alternator…which is driven by the engine. If the problem is too expensive
to fix, fine. But is take proper diagnostics to know for sure. Call Us

hello, this video is verrrry helpful, but i want to know if the second
video is up, we are at the point of figuring out what to do with the
hydraulic hose to the fan, the pump is leaking, so any information is
helpful thanx
In video 2 u were going to explain what to do with the hoses. I have
installed the fan but unsure what to do with the reservoir, pump and dead
hoses. Please help.
Brice65 u have to make sure the antifreeze run it circle… hydraulic pump
radiator bavk to the hydraulic pump. you eliminate the hydraulic fan. Where
it would have been hydraulic pump hydraulic fan radiator hydraulic pump

@Kristina laboy that may be true but believe it or not, the v6 can handle
more overheating then the v8

you can not by bass the 6 cyl but you can by bypass the 8 cyl it will
increase horse power and gas mileage!!!!!
Question ? How do you keep the check engine light from coming on without
the hydraulic fan?

Mrdody…no light no problem
mrDody no car works better then before
So all I do is cut the hose going to the hydraulic fan and the hose coming
from the hydraulic fan then connect then so it will complete the cycle
The 2nd video was up someone flagged it and it was my only copy…but I’ll
be happy to answer Any questions
When will you show another video on this and fixing from stop leaking
