Not too sure I want to do this now after seeing the vid.. However a dealer will charge me 3 to 4 hundred dollars just for the alternator itself so yes I do want to, I see you are selling them for about $140. so I’d save money just on parts alone. By the time you throw labor charges in I’d be saving a bunch of money. I’m disabled. Doing things like this cost me pain and energy but for the savings alone it’s worth it if I can do it.
Thank you very much for your time making this. It was very accurate! I had no problems. It was very helpful, having the list of tools I need. Very happy, saved lots of time.
There should be a number on the block that you can have checked.
How do you know if motor is a romeo or Windsor? I have a 1999 ford F150 im trying to replace the motor, One of my friends has a motor but i dont know if its a romeo or windsor, he sold the truck so I cant check the vin on the truck.
Thanks for watching.

thanks ..after watching this video i will attempt to remove my alternator and replace it tomorrow..im pumped !
I like how you can do everything without taking the air intake off, a novice like me can’t do it..
Yes it is probable that on other applications you may have to remove the air intake hose. Even on this truck that would have made it slightly easier.
so if i had a 4v dohc navigator i would have to remove the over head to the air intake
thanks good video my alt just went out on my 2000 ford ranger so this helps alot been awhile since i changed one
You have to remove a bracket that holds a hose close to the engine. This allows you to move that hose down and out of the way.
Not quite sure what you are referring to by “dropped the house” but thanks for the comment.
Thanks for addition!
If you take out the air intake is easier to get to the alternator.
good video =)
