In this video I’ll show you how to remove and install a battery in your 2016 and up Lincoln MKX. A fully charged battery is 12.6 volts, if it’s fully charged you can use one of these testers to see if it’s good…

The symptoms of a bad battery may include, no start but lights come on, week start, clicking noise, typically a bad battery will not cause your car to turn off, if you’re having that symptom with a weak battery, it maybe your alternator.

Take the air box out and the job is 10 times faster and easier. Loosen the the clamp and remove lid. Then pull upward on the box and it comes right out. Now nothing is in the way of the battery sliding out. Easy access to hold down bracket. Hope this isn't confusing and helps someone.

Very bad design. After a couple beers and busted knuckles I finally managed to dislodge this POS.

Thanks for the great video and thanks for not stopping at the first try. I would just like to add that Vise Grips make great battery handles when you have none.

What's with the Neg reps?? Great video especially since I have to change the battery. I like the "We're learning this together" bits. Made for a bit of humor. I will say this is the first and last Lincoln I'll buy. The comfort and power were decent but I've had this SUV two years and will be trading this in already. Any simple DIY item has been made such a PITA to do most people need to go to a dealer or mechanic to get them done.

How ironic…my factory battery in my 2016 died today! This is very helpful.
