Thanks so much for taking the time to share this.. most of these dealers don't know crap past what the computer tells them.. I had planned on taking my town car tomorrow but thanks to guys like you I will be fixing it myself when the part comes in.. btw my 03 town car has 370000 and runs like brand new
Was your speedo also not working? I have a 2002 TC doing the same thing, got an ABS module from a u-pull yard but havent installed it yet as the problem is random.
Did you have to program the replacement unit?
Cleared up a lot but few ?'s. Old post but ill try as my guages went nuts.
Was it both units?
If it was the pump also rhen there must be some bleeding of lines and priming.

In the comments you mention getting ford to scan…what do you mean scan. ? You mean obd codes?
My 05 town car needs a new ABS Module. I took it to a certified master mechanic and he said the part is discontinued by the factory so he can no longer get it, anyone knows where to get this part?
My track control and abs light comes on after driving for awhile but once I turn off the vehicle it turns off again it's a 99 Lincoln town car whats the problem please help me
That ending had me laughing so hard. Anyway thanks for the video. 03 town car with abs and traction issues and my speed and mileage keeps flashing. Ima try this before I think about buying a cluster and abs sensors
I have a 2009 I got last year with 68K miles on it.
Same lights on, ABS and Parking brake.
Got a remanufactured Dorman ABS module online and changed it just like on this video.
Didn’t work.
Turns out after 2007, I think, manufacturers made it so you can’t swap used components, like this one in particular, in an effort to thwart the black market.
I learned that after taking it to the dealer to get it configured and wasn’t able to – after shelling out a couple hours of shop rate.
Returned part to big name online source for refund and also contacted Dorman to advise of issue. They were at a loss.
Inspection is coming up so I just may have to pay about $1000 at the dealer.
Module $700 + Labor.
