I cant figure out how to loosen the tensioner…can someone please explain
in detail?
This was a life saver and also an engine parts saver. Could figure out how
to get it around the tensioner. After that it was simple – even putting the
fan housing back on was simple. Thanks a lot!
You mean how to loosen the belt, using the tensioner? You simply take the
3/8″ ratchet and insert into the square hole at the end of the tensioner
and use your socket wrench to unload the spring inside the tensioner,
therefore loosening the belt. You might have to put some muscle in it,
these things are usually locked up!
thanks alot! I actually figured it out before you told me but I had to take
it off and spray wd just to get it to budge. thanks you for your fast
response. I was looking for a nut to adjust on it and my neighbor came by
with the socket wrench and stuck it in the square
@displayfireworks2008 I just wanted to let you know that the pump that you
showed is not the pump for the rear air suspension. That is the ABS pump.
The pump for the rear air suspension is located under the washer fluid tank
in a plastic compartment with a lid on it. I hope this info helps.
….And thats why I try to leave the belt in – I alway get frustrated
trying to get the farkin belt back on lol
