thanks, glad video was able to help you.
thank you so much!!!! i just finished my friend 04 highlander water pump
replacement everything came out great thanks to your awesome
video,,,,,,,and saved her a few hundreds bucks I couldn’t find a steal
gasket in Tucson Az and I used the composite one that came with the water
pump. also the right cam shaft spun clockwise so moved back counter
clockwise while setting the timing belt.. again thank you very much and im
subscribing 🙂
Looks like you just compressed the old one in a C-clamp and put in a pin.
Yep sometimes they are a little too long to fit in a vice, so I pull out
the C-clamp and it works ok.
nice job !
Great tip, thanks for posting!
Another way is to remove the mount shafts or studs. If not with an E8
reverse torx use an easy out stud extractor. With the studs removed you can
just loosen the rear timing cover plate and pivot the water pump out. That
way you don’t have to remove the cam pulleys.
Thank you for the videos and the good tips!
how come you didnt replace the tensioner?
timing belt tensioner? I think I did, I just may have not shown it.
