Is it best to just replace those half moon seals? Perhaps they are dried up and shrunk…
I'm glad I did this right. Also replaced original oil cap on my 99 Camry because the o-ring was flat and hard with signs of some minor leaking around it. I did valve cover gasket, plugs, wires and ignition coils all at once. Hopefully won't have to touch those for years

Well the big lesson ive learned here is to save my money while my car is running fine for me, until the day the engine finally blows or the transmission i see is going out.When something like that on the car goes . Invest in a new car, period.

I remember the half-moon seals from the 8r and 18RC. They have been around for a LONG time.
