Usually I won't take the time to comment on videos, but you missed a lot of stuff and therefor made it seem wayyyy quicker and easier than it actually is. My tip to anyone watching this is to go to the Lexus forums and looks for the post that shows pics and steps about what all is needed to perform this work. Would have just taken it to a shop had I known everything that is ACTUALLY involved
Many of the IS' don't use that hard to get to bolt or bracket. I spent an extra hour doing mine just looking for it, only to find the alternator didn't have that bracket. The OE part from LEXUS doesn't come with that bracket.

how do you know it's the Alternator and not starter?
Please do an alternator replacement walk through on a 2005 BMW X3 2.5i
Thanks a lot for this video!

Okay I think it will be easier to put back on for me. It was a pain taking it off that bracket. I will keep you updated.
Was the alternator easy to put back in?
Okay sounds good thanks for the video. Now I just have to figure out how to get the bolt off the bracket.
Okay and did the alternator come right off?
Thanks and also did you use your inspection mirror to get the last bolt off?
What size bolt do you use to take off the connector?
