After years of having DPF- diesels around, these days you recognize that " old diesel smell" after seconds if a filter has been removed, no neeed for a test-machine for inspection. Thats said that typical smell of " burning rubber" during DPF- regeneration cant be good either and I wonder what that devices measures during these events…

Question about hybrid cars. I am a guy who likes music alot, and in my toyota hybrid, the stock stereo just, really sucks. So, in my old cars it was super easy to install a new amp, sub and such, just hook it up to batteri and give it a remote, done. But a hybrid car is not the same. (as far as I know) so, what I was thinking of doing (to not allow the battery to be drained while playing music) I would add another gel battery, then hook that up to the cars 12v starter battery (not the hybrid one) and put a relay inbetween. The relay beeing that kind that shuts off when the main battery is below a certain threshold, and enables charging when the cars stock 12v is back up, so that I would never drain the cars battery (thus leaving the hybrid system with alot of faults) Would that be the most "correct" way to do this, or is there a more correct way to do this? (it's a 2019 yaris hybrid) I am aware that this will reduce the milage a bit, but I am ok with that.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Great video. How much did the fix cost out of curiosity.

Great video!

As mentioned in comments , this is a cliffhanger. How does a fan motor destroy comms?. Noise on supply or some speed feedback line injecting noise and causing multiple interrupts. The mind boggles.. thanks for an interesting video

That DPF side track was awesome!
