How To Replace Tire Pressure Sensor Batteries (TPMS) on Lexus GS 450h – ENGLISH How to disable TPMS

How to replace/exchange the battery of the tire pressure sensor? Here I show you an alternative to the high cost of the dealer (above 500 Euro). Just replace the dead battery by a new one and buy a special adhesive, all together for less than 50 Euro.

Lexus failure code Check System or Low Tire do not show up any more. The battery inside the sensor dies after approx. 10 years.

At your own risk!!!

Jesus Christ did they think the tire guy going to bust out a solder gun and open electric parts to replace a battery?

John Harrison says:

Why not just replace the whole TPM sensor? Granted a new battery is probably cheaper but you would save a whole bunch of time.

You only use the chisel to heat up disconnect/connect?

Where to buy batteries with tabs?

Thanks for showing this. Too hard for me and now I can spend a $20, more easily to buy a new TPMS unit rather than to try to repair it, as I initially intended.
