How to replace the steering rack boot/bellow without needing an alignment afterwards on my Lexus IS300. This is the ziplock plastic bag grease trick to get the boot/bellow thru the tie-rod end. So the Lexus technician told me that I need to replace my rack and pinion because the boot and oil in it and the boots on a 2005 IS300 isn't supposed to have oil or grease it's just a dust cover so it's the gaskets in the rack that's leaking so is that true ?

That little wire is a twist crimp to hold the small end of the boot in place. Twist it tight, cut the excess off

Thanks for posting. Videos like this help empower normal people doing some of the works themselves rather taking it to the shop and pay through the nose to have it done.
