Replacing an alternator is not as hard as we thought. The Lexus ES300 has easy access to it. A few bolts and the old alternator was out in about 30 minutes. Pop the new alternator in and tighten the tensioner and you will be down the road in about 15 minutes. Maybe it was because the Lexus has it in an easy to work location, but for two guys who have never done it before I was impressed with the amount of time it took us!
Alternators are what charge your battery. If your car doesn’t start it could mean that your alternator did not properly charge your battery the last time you drove. It could also mean that your battery is getting old and does not charge well anymore.

Hey guys, I have a 97 ES 300 and have been experiencing issues with my anti theft deterrent system locking up from time to time. I've researched several ways to reset/bypass it which usually work (which aren't working at the moment). Has Hunter ever encountered this type of issue with his car? Thanks for any info
having trouble with the tensioner tensioning my belt and raising the alternator. Do you have any positive insights?
next time say what size wrench is needed for both bolts
Really hoping for more quality content and belching in the near future.
Replacing an alternator was a quick and easy job. It could be done by yourself, but it is more enjoyable and a little easier to have an extra set of hands!
