You can buy it pre-mixed from the store. if you look at the back of the
anti-freeze jug, it should tell you what it’s rated for.
I have a question for anybody…What do I put in this bottle? I have been
putting water..good or bad?
Where do I put new anti-freeze in? Do I take the cap off and pour in at the
point where the hose was detached, or remove the lid on the white tank
itself? The lid on the tank does not appear to come off easily and I don’t
want to remove if it is as easy as removing the lid where the tube was
disconnected from. I bought full blend anti-freeze due to the cold weather
climate I experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
When the car is cool, you may want to drain some of it out of the overflow
if it’s filled up to high.
You pour it back in through the cap under the hose on top on the bottle
that lifts up.
@tha904mack You should fill it to the proper fill marks with antifreeze.
You shouldn’t put straight water in the overflow, because in the winter
months it could freeze if you live in a cold climate
Hey mine is overflowin wat shoud i do help
If you’re just replacing the over flow tank, there will be a fill to line
on the side of the tank where you should fill the anti-freeze to.
My overflow tank is at the LOW level currently. Where do I insert the new
anti-freeze fluid? I understand that I fill it to the designated line,
however, I am unsure if I take the cap off the overflow tank itself or if I
pour it into the opening from which you remove the tube in this video. Does
this make sense?
Help mine is overflowin
Do you need to drain the coolant before replacing the coolant reservoir or
can you just replace it? My coolant reservoir is cracked on the top but its
not very full.
This video is pretty good. You should also include a reminder to only
replace the coolant tank when the engine is cold. If you pull out the hose
while the engine is warm, it could still shoot out hot coolant.
You might be able to remove it with a little coolant left in it. You would
need to find a way to prevent it from leaking out though. 1aauto.com
