I couldn't reach the starter on my 2005 RX330 with a hammer so I placed a 30" long 1/2" diameter dowel on the starter and tapped the other end with a hammer lightly a couple of times which enabled me to start the car.
Is that the GS 430 ?
Too bad you can't do this on the gs400 I'm having trouble starting mine
