Thanks! Have the same Lexus you do.
thank you this was great
Does the key need to be reprogramed after change the new
battery?
Thanks for making and posting this video. Immediate, no-nonsense help
always appreciated.
PS. Inflation in CA! The battery was $5.99 plus tax. Heads up.
Yeow……bought mine last week via eBay, although the seller is a local
battery store in our area in northeast Florida. Paid $1.18 delivered to my
maibox. So for once in my life, I actually changed a battery before the
current battery died.
You can still lock your car even when the keyfob battery is drained. Remove
the key and insert it into the slot in the bottom of the door handle to
open the door, and just press the black button on the face of the door
handle to lock. You can always pop the trunk from the inside trunk release
button.
Thank you very much! The Lexus dealership here is like 30 minutes away in
downtown Tampa and I’m in Brandon (suburb of Tampa) so this really helped
me out! Also, ty very much for telling me the type of battery I need to
replace it with (and ty for the pricing information too)!!! 😀
My pleasure, im happy it was useful to you! thanks for taking time to tell
me.
Really appreciate the time you took in posting this video. I was wondering
what I had to do now that my battery in my key fob died. Like you said
there was a warning and all of a sudden when I clicked on it I couldn’t
lock my car or popping my trunk. Heading to a Walgreens now!
And I thought Hawaii was expensive!
This was awesome!! Thanks much for doing this.
Happy it helped! Another nice tip about the key fob is it can be used to
start your car even if the battery is dead! I also made a video about that.
I’m happy it was helpful for you! Thanks for taking time to comment!
Thanks – great video! so nice to not have to take it to dealer!
It’s funny how many things we can do easily on our own if we just try! I’m
sure the dealer would rather we didnt.
I’m happy I was able to help. Hope you found a suitable replacement.
Thanks. You saved me about $25.00 labor cost for a highly trained battery
installation specialist. I’m thinking about setting up a stand at the curb
outside my Lexus dealer. BTW – if the key fob battery is weak, try
holding the fob close to the starter button as you press the starter.
