As the title states, we’re going to go through on how to do an oil change on a 2107 Lexus GX 460 including the installation of a Fumoto Valve. The Fumoto Valve is an after market valve that allows draining the oil using only a valve lever. No need to take the drain plug out just move a valve from closed to open. You are going 10,000 miles between oil changes! If the oil is contaminated it needs to be changed no matter what people tell you or what you see on YouTube. The contamination in the oil will damage/clog the oil rings on the pistons and can also damage the barrings on the crank and rods. By the way, you can also buy a all metal housing that replaces the plastic one holding the filter.
Do you have any information on the special tool you used for removing the filter element housing?
why didn't u clean the filter holder?
What you need to grease on these are the ujoints and slide yokes on the two driveshafts. 6 zerk fittings total. I would have done that since the front covers were off.

I think I am uncomfortable using the drain valve . What if there is a manufacturing defect that can lead to the valve failure thereby leading to your engine knocking . The drain plug seems okay
for me.
fyi fumuto valve is not good, very convenient yes, but if you look at the threaded part where it bolts to the pan it's too long so when you drain it, it won't drain all the oil out

I don’t think I had to take off the whole plate underneath to get to drain plug their is a little square right below plug that u can take off to get to drain plug I have a 2019 gx 460 it should be the same
