2000 Lexus ES300 Highway Vibration DIY Fix

2000 Lexus ES300 Highway Vibration DIY Fix

Lexus steering wheel vibrates at above highway speeds of 55mph+ when road is not smooth. The cause for this problem is you center bracket between the chassis and transaxle/transmission. VVT-i 3.0 engine require special order mount, i tried to buy the non VVT-i and it did not align properly. I spent soooo much money on LCA, shocks, tierods, rotors, pads, CV axles and new tires and nothing helped. I managed to get new replacement tires for free at America tires which does not happen often because i stated road noise was bad. I hope this video helps everybody in need of a solution with no prior luck. Subcribe and stay tune for other upcoming fixes on my 2000 Lexus. This video work for 1997-2001 Lexus ES300 and Camrys.

Could this also be an issue on the RX300? My steering wheel has a significant vibration through the wheel at highway speed. The tires have been rotated/balanced several times and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I do have one question for you. When you removed the old mount obviously you removed the bolts to loosen it. Did you have to lift the trans in anyway to get the old on out and put the new one in? If so, how did you do it?

Brett Oliver says:

I appreciate the video man. I have been felling the vibration for a few months now and thumping when i shift to different gear from park. So i am replacing the rear motor mount and your video gave me the guidance how to replace the trans mount.

Carlos Pereira says:

my car start vibrating after a while on the highway. when i slow down enough it stops. then i accelerate again to high speed no problem and it sometimes comes back after a while again. any ideas? i can be driving like 120km/s for several minutes, then it just starts randomly, so it can't be the tires, plus i already had them balance and alinged, it's driving me nuts, because it's hard to diagnose as it never hapened on city streets but usually randomly starts on the highway. there is major vibration like being on a rumble strip if your going fast enough. please help.

i need to see a video related to passenger side cv axle replacement can somebody help me with that? thanks in advance.

Sal Espinosa says:

I'm at 128k now and still going strong. The other mount on the motor is going out too, it happens to be keeping the passenger axle in place o__O vibration is very minimal compare to before now.

Aerik says:
