What is it that is actually wearing down requiring one to remove shims? The
pin?
Great! thanks.
These videos are great, all the stuff you need to know to tackle the job.
The really cool bits apart from watching the job getting done properly are
the tips and tricks. Anyone who has tackled a job like this comes across
rounded bolts/nuts, shears a bolt off in the hole or finds a circlip
unwilling to leave home. Any tip on how to get these problems solved is
worth it’s weight in gold. Keep up the videos mate I’m glued to your
channel,
Part 1 count how many axle stands in video

Thanks! Looking forward to this!
Done loads of stuff mate, rebuilt series 3’s Defenders, etc. Also did
conversion on the vehicle that has that stub axle on the video to 200tdi,
etc. Servicing, HGV fitting. Plus servicing on ambulances Mercedes LDV,
tanker work PTO blower equipment, pressurised liquid and dry powder
equipment etc also worked on the Abrams Battle tank for a short while with
the USAEUR in Germany. long CV on mechanical fitting mate…
have you ever rebuilt a defender before or do you just service and do other
stuff
cheers!
