The seat on the Land Rover Discovery 3 is ruined with the foam collapsed and the frame digging in to my back. This could be the easiest and best repair for you. Add more comfort, make your seat look like new and custom shape the support just how you want it.
I guess it's a good idea if the next owner is the scrap man, that's where my cars end up.
Personally I wouldn’t want to buy that car with your seat bodge, unless it’s selling very very cheaply, I thought you were going to peel back the upholstery then add your new foam. Or why not glue the foam to the inside of the seat cover then at least it hasn’t ruined the original seating. Nice try but a no from me. Love all your videos especially on the defenders so keep them coming
Could have used some expanding foam where the foam has split by making a small hole then you probably would have only needed 1 bit of foam, I ve made a couple of custom rally seats with expanding foam and plastic bags
Just reupholstered the front seats in my Defender SW using proper kit from Exmoor Trim, which has returned the seats to as-new condition. The bodge in this video, however, should only be used on a vehicle with very low value.
As to cleaning those seats; the fold-down rear seats in my Defender were far dirtier than these Disco ones, but as the fabric was intact, I was able to clean them to match the as-new fronts. I did replace the hardboard seat bases for painted MDF & I rubbed down & repainted the metalwork on all the seats.
If you want a proper job, then do a proper job!
great simple idea especially if the seat material is already quite worn
Sorry to say but good idee but they look way to big for the seats.
is it april fools already? because that looks absolutely terrible and can only be considered as a very bad joke
