Hi

This Range Rover came to me with an issue with the air suspension system…
Would throw faults due to the slow raising of mainly the front of the car…
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.

Video mentioned for changing the strut:

Good video! I'm sure I'm not telling you anything but with the maxisys viewing live data you can select the parameters you want to watch and hit "top" and it will put them at the top so you don't have to keep scrolling back and forth to see them. I think there is a limit but off the top of my head I am not sure what that is. Maybe 4 parameters. Keep up the good work!

Tomek Tomek says:

The problem getting this specific type of fault code is caused by a blocked air dryer
Its a normal service part which supposed to changed over the time. Compressor should still be ok

Your videos are very interesting and educational. Thank you for making them.

On this video, I wonder if the compressor, although showed signs of water, which is not unusual, was the root cause of the issue. It would have been interesting to have seen the voltage at the compressor checked when the compressor was running. Based on what the relay looked like (corrosion, and assumed one of those relays was for the compressor), that may have been why the compressor could not get the pressure up to where it should be. Ensuring the compressor voltage was as it should be when compressor running, would have been a good idea before removing/changing the compressor. Just my opinion.

Finally, since you changed both the compressor and the relay, we do not really know for sure. Still, a good video and changing the compressor did not hurt anything given the age of the car. It probably needed changing even if the relay was the problem.

Thanks again for making these videos. I know it is time consuming and not easy to do.
