You have finally taught me the best lesson ever. If you going to work on a vehicle in this shape then strip it down to nothing but the bare frame and then rebuild it up from there. Great video keep them coming.

It started out, I thought as a minor project to arrive at a daily driver. But now it looks like everything is rusted – and we haven't even started looking at mechanical issues. A major rabbit hole…

Fantastic work.
The rust in the pillar is exactly why double walling steel is not a good idea. Capillary action pulls water up along the length and causes rust. But on the other hand it would have been cheaper to manufacture than using a single piece of thicker steel.
