David Smith says:

You have finally taught me the best lesson ever. If you going to work on a vehicle in this shape then strip it down to nothing but the bare frame and then rebuild it up from there. Great video keep them coming.

That's quite the Discovery. Here's to hoping you discover less on the other side.

Crewe Alex says:

I'm looking forward to a revisit in 6 or 8 years where we get to see what's left of the disco by then. My money is on a rusty engine block and the bits that have featured in this series!

Ebagmai yup says:

Great job! (Generic phrase to add to comment quantity)

Heisenberg says:

It started out, I thought as a minor project to arrive at a daily driver. But now it looks like everything is rusted – and we haven't even started looking at mechanical issues. A major rabbit hole…

Gerry O'Neill says:

Great work, well done.

AKA Nathan says:

Its a good thing you bought a rust free car to get about whilst you work on the series. 🙂 Wouldn't it be a bugger to just add another project to the list?

8151noname says:

Fantastic work.

James Davey says:

The rust in the pillar is exactly why double walling steel is not a good idea. Capillary action pulls water up along the length and causes rust. But on the other hand it would have been cheaper to manufacture than using a single piece of thicker steel.

Chemical Regent says:

"The discovery of rust"

Matt Jackson says:

I hear that you still haven’t managed to find a decent lubricant for the hinge on your welding helmet!

Peter Warner says:

Awesome video Geoff and right decision made on the inner piece. Have to say I’m really enjoying these more frequent semi-annual videos too.
