Simon Ross. Can’t reply directly to your comment. I would be cautious
with regards to write offs and insurance. There are changes a foot with
regards the way insurance cover works with accident damaged vehicles. Ask
your insurance company for a quote first .. Other than that of the chasis
is good and not twisted then yes it is worth restoring.
Wax oil? Not certain I have heard of that before, similar to WD40?
is that one ten yours
I have been offered a written off 2011 defender that has been rolled, it
seems that its rolled onto roof so has that ‘sad’ face at the front. they
say it ran for a short while upside down. its going for 1500 quid would it
be worth it to restore it?
Okay Matt cheers for the compliment…. you are quite welcome to point
people in this direction i will be covering discovery inspection next year
too.. We have a episodes few more to come yet. Interior, the running gear
including engine conversion bodges and what to look out for and then we’ll
look at Marios 110 if he dare take it out in the rain!!
Just what the doctor ordered on a boring saturday cheers.
Very comprehensive … intrigued to see the next part … knowing what to
look for is easy if you’ve got years of experience with Land Rovers …
seeing it all laid out so well is a real pleasure and I’ll be pointing
people this way who ask for my help in buying from now on!
Very cool so far. Can’t wait to see what’s going on with that U-joint and
prop shaft.
You’ll get to see that in part 4 which will be uploaded next week.
Surprising to find there were 2 prop joints that had been knocked out.
Your welcome!!
