Nik Firzdous …the last time i sent over my defender(puma) to Land Rover
Malaysia for my 1st oil service ,when it was only 6000km plus i believe
that LRM did not do a good job or even change the Engine oil , not even
close of what you mention in your statement …now my defender’s engine oil
is think and very dark ..Thanks To LRM where a basic oil change cost like a
bomb ..but there’s no result in power at all. So tell me how do you all
work in LRM ? i have been there many time and i know very well what’s going
on behind the glass …poor quality job at LRM ..Wonder what will happen to
the RR’s that come in …its shame .

I work as a chief mechanic at the Land Rover Malaysia, when we want to
service some of the Land Rover we need to use this step…oil filter, engine
oil,gearbox oil,transmision oil,air filter,fuel filter,axel oil and the
last one you must see all the host or part at the engine because maybe some
of the part must change…like a belt,vacumm and many more.After that,we
can get our car powerfull like a new.I learn all this when I work at the
company name Land Rover Malaysia..Auto Connection..Good Luck

Thankyou I have a 110 defender in Myanmar/ Burma it is maybe the only one
of its kind here so I have to work out everything myself to maintain it.
This video has really helped me to know what needs doing. Can you make one
for all the other things that need checking on a service?

BORISDOBIE says:

Land Rover specified grades but all fully synthetic oils which is quite a
lot if you are changing everything in one go.

judge dredd says:

Excellant video what grade of oil do you use?

Just bought a defender 90 with this engine in with 18,000 miles on it,
(engines are from a transit apparently), and wondered how to do a service
myself to save money. glad you told us to do the diffs too as i would have
forgot those. this video was great thanks very informative.
