you do realize you could have just taken the hood off and threaded a larger slide hammer onto the end of the smaller one and had nearly no issue right ? LOL
Is there a reason why you went straight to tear down? I don’t know much about LR/JAGS, but seems simplest first step might have been to try some HEET, Barrymans, or Seafoam top end treatment. It may have cleared up the stuck injector, and then no tear down necessarily. Granted it could have happened again if the injector was failing, and been a bandaid solution. At least if they do fail again you can get the parts replaced under FCP’s warranty.
I wouldnt believe if i hadnt seen it…..the young lady he called for advice is a porn star!! She still has many, many current videos out (thats what i hear…hehe) She can clean my injectors anytime…..

what would happen if you used an air hammer to vibrate it a little to break the bonding seal? (air hammer contacting slide hammer — as to not destroy the injector)

you need vibration or some knocking movement.. hydraulic is no good
Instead of pulling harder on the injectors because of the carbon buildup stopping you, why don't you pull the plug, rotate the cylinder to the top, And then pour in something that dissolves the carbon buildup like carb cleaner.
This will soften and loosen the hard carbon buildup there and let it just come out.
