LR Time Kristian in Germany was also not so happy with the brake fluid change procedure with the ID Tool.
Anyway nice job that brake fluid has never been changed i think.
Anyway when renew it gives a peace of mind.

Here in Oz , the LR3 manual mentions replacement of brake fluid every three years . And a big thankyou for your transmission fluid video . I did a double flush ( 4.5lt each occasion ) with Lifeguard 6 and the system is vastly improved , but not new-perfect as there's some wear in there . Second flush is a must imho . Burnt my wrist on the exhaust though ……. LOL . Incidentally , sucking out the fluid from the rear left is advised , as pumping a brake master cylinder is a classic way to damage the piston seal with over travel in a cylinder . Are you sure the original fluid wasn't red to start with ??

One thing to note is that Land Rover LR3/LR4 calls for "Low Viscosity" DOT 4 Brake fluid. Thin fluid is mainly for quicker response of ABS/DSC/Terrain Response as these Land Rover heavily rely on when off roading. Although you'll not notice in normal driving but when off roading with terrain response and hard braking is when you may notice a slight delay/difference in ABS actuation. I know my pedal a bit spongy using non LV DOT 4 brake fluid, until I flushed it with LV fluid.

Hi Mike, thank you so much for sharing all your fun with your Discovery. I enjoy all your videos. About the Launch tool, I tried the key fog programing function in a Range Rover HSE 2007 (L322). It did not work. Poor information online and the instructions from the tool are arbitrary. I retuned it. I am planning to buy the GAP tool.
