Hi Shabir, sorry for the late reply. u mearnt to say 2.7 TDV6 instead of
TDVM. Yes, it has 2 timing belts. The front big one runs the 2 camshafts
and the rear smaller one runs e fuel pump. changing interval as per
manufacturer is 105000mile/7yrs in normal conditions and 60000miles or 4yrs
in harsh conditions.
Hi again! Do I need to change the Timing Gear Cover Gasket? What about the
auxiliary belt? is it necessary to change the double tensioner (Part No
PQG500250) and the Top Tensioner Pulley (Part No PQH500130) or changing the
drive belt is enough? Thanks in advance for your answers. Best regards
Didier
Hi thanks. If after 2 turns it doesn’t come back align, i repeat still in
the same direction until it comes back align ? Maybe I MUSN’T turn the
crankshaft in the other direction. is this forbidden? Yes I buy a kit
coming with the tensioner. And I buy separately 2 idlers.
Hi, many thanks for this video. I’m planning to change my timing belt soon
and I am very interested in doing it well! your video shows when it works
at first try. But what would I need to do if the timing tool or the marks
on the camshaft are not aligned after 2 turns of the crankshaft? Do I have
to turn backward the crankshaft 2 turns and tend the belt with the
tensioner? What if after 2 turns, the camshaft pulley pass the reference
marks? does it mean the belt is too tensioned or not enough
hi. u will find 2 slots on the camshafts roughly at 5 o’clock for left n 7
o’clock for right handside one. in the first instance also mark yo
camshafts and crankshaft against the engine body. these should come back
and align after 2 turns. if not then repeat procedure. e tensioner has its
aligning marks. your kit should show u. buy a kit not just the belt as it
comes with roller n a tensioner.
i have a range rover sport 2.7 TDVM 2007 plate will that also have a timing
belt or timing chain
