Pardon my ignorance, but are these OC engines worth it? American V-8s
(pushrod) have everything inside the lower block-and these engines run
300,000 miles. Lose the belt on an OC engine? The engine is ruined.

OC you mean overhead cam ?? not sure what you mean by that. Timing belts we
designed to make the engine quieter but newer diesel engines with
electronic diesel fuel control use a timing chain. Hey we didn’t make them
we just repair and maintain them..! Thans for you opinion though.
