my alternator on my 200tdi was reading 11.6V under load, then i noticed the
belt was a bit slack so tightened it up, now it reads 12.5V under load,
which is a little improvement but not the 14.4V your quoting. Does this
mean my alternators on the way out?
the only way to know is make sure oyur battery is full charged as it will
lower the voltage until it is.
