Neil Sandham says:

Technically when changing the battery you should re calibrate the battery management system (BMS). Otherwise some very weird things can happen. The BMS is already ferociously protective. Also AGM batteries have been used on LRs for some time (even non start stop cars).

Thanks for all your videos. You made the ownership if Range Rover way better.

@powerfulltd, I noticed your boot opened both the top tailgate and bottom tailgate all at the same time at the end of the video. Is that something you can get the l405’s to do as mine only opens the top tailgate?
As always, great videos.
Thanks

Hi Guys love your videos. Can I ask if you connected a power supply to the jumping points under the bonnet. I don't think you did but do you know if any risk in doing so? I am just thinking it would be safer to do that.

Jetasin says:

Hi guys, exactly as you show, tail gate same and once closed worked fine. One more thing that’s no issue was my windows don’t do the one press open after battery replacement? Is that a computer reset or is there a press this, hold that, work around, as there is on so many of the other system setups on the land rovers generally? Thanks

Just found it, worked straight away on l405. Window reset

Did you have to re-programme the computer because you fitted a new battery? Also, did you fit an AEG battery because I believe the Range Rover in question is not a start/stop, because as I understand it, AEG batteries are more robust than a 'wet' battery, a good video though, unfortunately, it has prompted some questions from me.

Yateley Crew says:

Very good video, I have postponed changing my battery as I thought it would interfere with all the electrics. It's nice to know you only had a problem with the tailgate, I'll give it a go.

Prevention is the best medicine. Don´t buy a range rover. They are complete pieces of crap.
