Not every repair on a Land Rover is a total debacle. Some are as easy as on a Toyota – even if they occur more frequent. See how we replace a lower rear ball joint in this episode using almost nothing else but simple Tyota tools.
Thanks for watching,
Vera & Christian
Part number of lower rear ball joint of Discovery 3:
LEMFÖRDERER 28882 01
Always with the suspension fuse. In 9 years working on my L319 Discos, I've never seen the need to take the suspension fuse out.
The last time I was on the Autobahn I got flashed out of the way by a Dacia Logan, with 5 people on board. I was doing ~180kmh in my D4 which is quite fast enough with stuff on the roof.
Hi Christian, where did you order the original FoMoCo Oil pump? I’m looking for it as well and I’m not sure, which one is the newest style pump…Thanks!
I sure wish our issues were simple bushes at the moment. Sadly electrical gremlins have resulted in the D3 being towed to the mechanics to wait for attention. No battery resets or iidTool fault code clearing would get it out of limp mode.
Love the professional quality of your videos, the chemistry between you is amazing. Your skill is second to none I would love to make a video of my car repairs but unfortunately I have never learned to film my repairs.
Sometimes owning an Toyota HZJ78 does have its drawbacks with nothing to repair Ha, Ha.
wish i could move to Germany, any vacancies for teachers ?
Brilliant video. My kind of driving too. Here in Virginia you need a bulldozer for the fast lane.
Great video. Can we get the specs for the pressing tool ? 😀
Hi, great vid, what is it you put under the rear diff so you can jack it up ? And will that work for the discovery 4 as well ?
Hi guys! I love the Cannon. Is that for when you have finally had enough and need to dispose of a land rover. For a new toyota land cruiser…..lol
Oh man, what a great video! From making the tool, to all the OMGs from Vera, and the last part was so good!!! I was laughing from Vera getting scared and Cristian was so happy, exactly the same happens when I drive my Discovery 4 on open roads with my girlfriend, haha… loved this video, so good!!! Thanks again guys, always the best thing to watch
Would not even consider doing 160 + in my old D3 on Aussie roads or the way my suspension is. Need to replace all the wishbones etc. All but the front LCA are original.
Another good video but I fear it will be Vera only next week if she opens the dishwasher first.
and thats exactly why we all watching here do NOT drive rattly Toyotas lol but lighly armoured personal and other stuff carriers
mine is just missing M2HB turret on the roof lol
you have pushed your mall crawler a few kph more than i dared flying through Germany many times nice job
got to get closer to 200kph next time as my missus reactions are the same hihi no offence Vera
