I FINALLY got to the stage where i can install and replace the old propshaft for this land rover series 3, now i have the skills to be able to do it myself or on my other land rover.

you fitted the proshaft the wrong way round, the rubber boot that looks like you cut it, for some unknown reason should be at the gearbox end
