I have a series 3 , I've been working on the headlights all day to the point where the battery is dead , can't follow wire too far back as it's sealed with other wires , it's one of those jobs that will take hrs but end up being really simple , is it safe to check wires directly from the battery ? , I have a short somewhere because all electrics apart from the headlights work without the fuses in , any ideas ?
Good to see progress is being made! I have to say I love the older cars for the pretty basic issues they have, with more modern stuff if something doesn't work it could be computer related, but the old stuff, a simple short can be to blame.
Can't wait to see this little lady back on the road! (hopefully with floorboard and transmission tunnel installed :p )
