It is a wise tech who knows their limitations. There is no problem in saying "I don't have the training to work on that vehicle".
It took me many years to learn that I couldn't fix everything (In a reasonable time and economical parts cost.).
I think the British would say that Range Rover is knackered.

Range Rover is owned by Ford, that should tell you a bunch! British word would probably be "Dodgy", meaning rather risky, dangerous, or unreliable..
