I see you used extended performance oil instead of professional Castrol, I know professional is only available from the LR dealership and extended performance is easily available and is was more cost effective. is there a reason for that?

Very informative presentation, and thorough procedures for oil change. Getting rid of waste oil is becoming an issue in some places in the United States. There are strict regulations in the town I live in, for doing this, because of environmental reasons of course. And people should be responsible in their actions. It has become more of a hassle than it is worth. So I to am from the old school methods, and has served me well for fifty years. I like what you have said in this video production, although I believe these Land Rovers are a bit over engineered. My personal thought is that land Rover had every intention of making the oil change process simplified, by using the vacuum method of oil retrieval from the sump, as this vehicle was manufactured with that intent. To me, It seems a bit to much to have to take the skid plate off every time you want to change your oil. As I am now sixty five, and my day's of wrenching are about done, with the exception of my motorcycle, which is very easy maintenance. Hey Alex. I have a small spilt on my drivers side Ball joint boot on my L494 2014 5 ltr Supercharged RR. The dealer want to sell me a complete suspension arm. Can I simply replace the ball joint or the rubber? I think the part no is: LR 1913
