shit…..

adflix manila says:

good video, it takes a lot of patience in doing this. Just make sure you
always have semi permanent stickers. I also wonder how long this removal
took place

Jacob Marquis says:

i do this on cop cars all the time, i wish it was this easy, let them sit
outside for a few years and start cracking and drying out, only way is with
a ‘decal stripper'(a rubber wheel that spins and takes it off) and it
sucks! Right now i have 8 hours on a car thats not even a full wrap, i will
probably end up with 2-3 more on it tomorrow. But i dont have any special
spray to remove adheasive residue all with brake cleaner and rag or with
the tool!

Barry Hensall says:

I have just removed today a Yellow vinyl wrap from a 2007 Ford Focus. It
had been on the car from new. After stripping, the paint was exactly as it
came out of the factory, perfect. I did NOT use a heat gun as the very hot
dry heat could easily blister the paint. I used a steamer for removing
wallpaper. The wet heat cannot damage the paintwork yet softends the vinyl
just right. If you slowly pull the vinyl at the same time moving the flat
plate of the steamer you can get very large areas off.

carolcheny says:

what exactly of wrap is this, like, 3M 1080?

thumper1341 says:

mianonna01 says:

Does anyone know if the original paint suffers any damage removing a vinyl
wrap? Should I wrap a car and then get tired of the new color, could I come
back to the original paint just removing the vinyl? Thanks.

duhzzzz says:

Would you happen to remember how long this wrap had been on the van?

nuggitsack says:

That’s 8 mins of my life I will never get back

Nick Koziol says:

Love the elevator music. I have to do this tomorrow. Do you think my boss
will provide the tunes?

ngrar says:

HOW LONG WAS THE WRAP ON BEFORE U REMOVED IT?

excelerater says:

depends on age and sun exposure…….most come apart in small pieces
making for a slow and painfull process

Pithe Revenger says:

yeah but you left glue on the car man!

Barry Hensall says:

The trick is don’t rush and always pull slightly upwards so if the vinyl
does rip it will leave an edge sticking upwards that you can grip. Never
use a knife or metal to lift the edges up, you WILL mark the paint. The
problem is how to remove the residue glue thats left in places. Don’t use a
chemical that will dull or damage the paint. I used a adhesive cleaner by
3M (08984) but it was crap did not make an impression. I am trying
something else, will keep you posted as soon as something works.

Casey Tonoian says:

Maybe you should use more than one hand BARN!
