In this video we explain how to change out your Lamborghini Murcielago door struts. For the past two years I’ve been fighting the doors to open them. This job took about 2 hours to complete and I highly recommend having an assistant to hold the doors for you when swapping out the door struts. The doors are much heavier than they look!

I installed these struts and they worked great 5-10 times and then with weight of door panels and speakers , pretty much did exactly what old struts were doing?? Anyone experience this?

That heat shrink doesn't protect anything, it's just decorative. If you do it just right, you can preserve the original shrink wrap during this job to keep it looking perfectly original. The hardest part of this job is getting the clip back on the driver's side because the steering wheel is in the way, and you can't work between the door and the body since the doors go straight up.
