Lamborghini Gallardo Reverse Button Replacement | Superleggera Interior Trim and Gauge Removal

Lamborghini Gallardo Reverse Button Replacement | Superleggera Interior Trim and Gauge Removal

I show you how to fix the reverse button that is prone to failure in all E Gear Lamborghini Gallardos from 2004-2014. This DIY works for all Lamborghini Gallardos to include every year of the Superleggera and even rare editions like the Super Trofeo Stradale.
I show you how to remove the dash piece securing the reverse button and how to remove the gauge cluster to access the trim panel. The result is a perfect button and a fresh interior!

Craig Scartozzi says:

haaa I was holding my breath when you were pulling and wiggling the dash!

Glenn Jacobs says:

Great work. I bought a replacement button and didn't fit it, as I didn't know how to remove the dash trim and was too scared to break the carbon fibre piece. Now I feel I can give it a go!

Jesus Chavez says:

Great video! It's 10x easier to do if you completely remove the instrument cluster!… also can you share link to new button?

Martin Murphy says:

Excellent video thank you. Do you have one for the Centre round price with the three buttons at all? Sport Auto and ECS Thanks Martin

Dalamar says:

This might sound silly but did you try accessing the switch from below and reaching up ‘blind’ to get to those self tappers? I’ve found in the past getting upside down in the footwell (maybe with the seat removed) necessary to get to those tricky under dash areas. Just a thought as an alternative to removing the delicate trim pieces.

Also do you know if that switch is unique to the car or are there other momentary switch alternatives?

Audio quality was great with this video!

Marcus Lavender says:

I hate removing interior trim pieces, thanks for making this look easy. I went the lazy route and got a new sticker that looks great, my R wasn’t too bad but it was annoying me. I don’t understand how some of them like yours get in that bad of shape. Like how do you scratch it? I try to never even go in reverse since it’s hard on the clutch, or at least that’s my theory. Is it really 10 x worse for clutch slippage than regular up/down shifts?

I have a feeling that this video is going to come in really handy for me in the near future

Hunter L says:

Can you make a video about changing headlight bulb on gallardo

DaveNJ says:

Did you get a new mic? Maybe it's just me, but the audio sounds much better in this video.

Kent Adams says:

Wow, not what I would have expected on the PIA meter.

Patrick Michael says:

Good job. How about a video on the "floppy" air vents that wont stay open or rotate around at random?

Dave Steven says:

I had to slow down the video at 2:58 to catch what the spring clips actually looked like. It's helpful to know what it is you are pulling out. Also you say "and another one, right there" at 5:45 but its not obvious what you are verbally pointing to. More detail on points like these will elevate your videos to the next level. Thanks for doing these videos. It elevates our comfort level on doing repairs when we can follow in your footsteps.

Tanel Rebane says:

Button looks great! This video is going to help every Gallardo owner out there, thanks!

Also, can't wait to solve the mystery of the column cover. 😀

CNC Routers, Beginners & Beyond - Garrett Fromme says:

What are you working on the column.? Got me curious

jacob chavez says:

Where did you get the switch, and how much did it cost? If you don’t mind saying.

jacob chavez says:

A little nerve wrecking with the removal of the trim, a little too much pressure on one side and you may have an expensive wreck, but like always very detailed video, keep it up, thank goodness I don’t have to replace mine yet, knock on wood.

veucinze says:

I confirm, you're doing a good job! Thank you so much as always for this super detailled video. Cheers!
