i like the bolt on idea and mine is a small car (1987 ford escort) but i can’t find a kit to fit my car as most people would not put it on this any ideas also thanks for the help!
It is actually cut in the door pillar. It depends on the hinge but it’s about 4″w and 10″h. I would go with a bolt-on hinge for a smaller car.
Question how much do you have to cut out of that front quarter panel to fit the innards? And will this or a similar bolt on kit work in rather small cars?

Can you make a video about the automatic unversal kits? there are lots of the slow kits really fssssssst kits completely open and close, others needs to be manually closed .im looking a gull wing or lambo powered set for an eclipse its getting hard to gert the right kit, thansk in advance
Hi Jimmy,
Put the stop just above where the bottom of the hinge when it swings past the pillar post as the door opens. This will hold it in the down position until it is opened up enough to swing up safely. It really is not car specific, it can be used to hold the door down on any car.

most other installer perfer to cut or roll there fender,instead of adding the extra piece to stop the door from rising to soon.
(Plus there a different Lamborghini door hinge design,in some cases)

Look at all the maufaturers and buy the ones that bolt right in for your vehicle. These were a set of universal hinges which are cheaper but take way more work. You should be able to get ones that are made for the Jeep.
i’m thinking about getting these for a 01 jeep Laredo is it necessary to do welding or could we drill holes ? i have no welding knowledge but have mechanical experience
