Every coolant should change after 5 years of getting the car from dealership brand new and it should be repeated every 3 years. If not you take all the risk and drive your car with this danger. The more time pass the risk increase. You put your block, cylinder heads, all the parts that coolant touches/flows in a obnoxious danger. Coolant is the most important lubricant of the engine. More important than the engine oil. Nice and useful video btw.

Nice walkthrough. I expected way more of a "ritual" to bleed the system given my experience with other mid-engined stuff. One thing I'd add is to inspect the flexible lines to see if they're still flexible. The seller and I had a fire-drill of sorts while we were on the way to collect the car because he had been putting new coil packs in and bumped one of the small lines going to the expansion tank and it just shattered. I guess near enough to the headers that it had been baked to death. That said, these cars only have a handful of rubber hoses or joints.

friend i need to know the location of the hydraulic pump relay of the gearbox actuator can you help me?

Willem Van Der Nest says:

I totally agree with you. I have found that some antifreeze products also tends to crystallize and causes like a jelly build up inside the engine. I have a few cars that had the problem that I worked on in the past. You know that some (Not all) antifreeze products do contain honey in their mixtures and I don't know if you have seen it but honey crystalize if not used after a while.

I appreciate the videos and detailed explanations, suggestions and additional B roll you get to show things. Was your coolant discolored at all or any noticeable things from a car with 100K miles?

In the regular Gallardo pre LP the reservoir is different than the SL. You have to measure the level from the bottom. But once again excellent video.

Tanel Rebane says:

This must be the best Gallardo-focused channel on all of YT. I hope you keep it up!

SomeJuanPlay says:

That was a pretty simple process I thought it would take more work than that!

Ric Su says:

Nice vid thanks. So there’s no risk of air bubbles in the system? I assume this procedure should be similar to an r8 v10 as well?

veucinze says:

As always, very detailed video. Thanks !

Green coolant? WTH.

You spilling coolant on the floor reminds me of Dan at NGS when he did his first oil change on his first Ferrari. Except Dan had OIL splashing all over his garage floor! You guys must be destined to have some sort of weird connection! lol Good Luck!

Dave Steven says:

Just sent this video to my mechanic who is doing fluid changes this weekend.
