I show you how to avoid the cops and hardwire a radar detector in your car. I show you how to safely wire accessories into your Lamborghini without harming the factory wiring and making everything completely reversible. What I show you in this video applies to 99% of the cars on the road and the Lambo is no different!
This easy DIY fix is something anyone can do with simple hand tools. Don’t let the cops ruin the drive in your Lambo.

Thanks for the insight, didn't even know radar detectors were a thing anymore. Here in Europe many countries have outlawed them and in some jail time is in the cards (even for just a detector, not a jammer, that is). Likewise, given suspicion, your vehicle can be taken into parts on the road-side to find the detector. Glad to see the whole world hasn't gone crazy.
Great instructional video again! I need to find an online fuse diagram for my '07 since mine didn't come with the manual. There's no way I'm connecting the radar using the cig lighter outlet since it all the way back behind my elbow lol. Thanks for showing us the way forward..
You'll probably have to disconnect it while in Virginia.
Thanks for this. Good points. Being in Ontario Canada, radar detectors are illegal. $400 fine plus lose of unit. My car had a professional install of an Escort 9500 CI i think it was. Had detectors and laser shifters/jammers. I asked the installers to remove the system that they said was very professionally installed and was removed with no damage, then I had my Thinkware front and rear dash cam installed with the understanding of fully removable with no damage. I'm very impressed with the install and works great. Never want to do any damage to the existing wiring. Thanks for posting, many great points.
Best to mention to choose a supply location that is switched live. In other words only supplies power when the ignition is on. This avoids the possibility of parasitic draw for that item.
I have been thinking about installing one, and you of course gave me all the info, seems easy and clean, with out the cord in the way
Easier than i thought…great stuff, thank you
This was such a clean and straightforward instruction. And thanks for the tip about the clip on connectors. I never would have thought of that.
