important note–don't touch the lamp replacement with bare hands. It reduces the life. Also, make sure the prongs of the lamp fit snugly into the plastic holders in the 8:00 position.
The cap cover is stuck, I've had several people try using wrenches and a hammer and screwdriver to try to tap it but the little plastic grips fall off and no one can turn it with their hands… do you know of a way or it there a tool that can be used to turn that cap cover? It's the driver side low beam on a 2011 optima hybrid. Thanks.. Jackie
Just want to let Kia owners that need to replace bulb for headlight.
*YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE FRONT BUMPER. I REPEAT: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE FRONT BUMPER TO REPLACE BULB IN HEADLIGHT.
#1 REMOVE THE WATER RESERVOIR ( TWO SCREWS) AND YOU HAVE EASIER ACCESS TO HEADLIGHT.
#2 TURN THE HEADLIGHT CAP TO BULB COUNTER CLOCKWISE.
#3 REMOVE 3 SCREWS FROM BULB.
#4 UNHOOK THE BURNT BULB AND PLUG IN NEW BULB.
#5 SCREW EVERYTHING BACK IN AND YOURE GOOD TO GO.
NO NEED TO REMOVE FRONT BUMPER.
