Is this easy for people with NO SENSE of mechanical knowledge???Seems simple maybe I’m thinking too much

frederick kat says:

Would be helpful if the items described were indicated with a pointer or laser pointer (for benefit of people who have very limited mechanical knowledge).

Autotechviewpoint says:

well on startup the starter sucks out the juice.

Eric Haro says:

What sucks the juice out of the battery is it the alternator or the starter?

I was looking for similar video to RR starter on Saturn, and didn’t find it but watched yours. I really enjoyed it and appreciate your candid comments and patience as you assessed the possible ways to get at it and get it out. Thanks very much for this educational video. I don’t have a Kia, but still think it was worth watching you work through the issues. Good work. LOVED the tip about the floppy flex socket. ~Jay -Dallas

Autotechviewpoint says:

You could hear the starter clicking, battery tested good. I think we did a tap test (I just made a video about tap testing!) on the starter, tap on the starter while trying to start the car. Often you can get a few more starts out of the car. Starting the car one last time so we can DRIVE it into the shop is nice too!

sorr86 says:

How did you know that it was the starter?
I am having similar problems.
