Hey, How do you remove the pulley on this particular altenator? Its a 24 Inch socket but it does not seem to budge. Any Tips would be much appreciated!! This video is amazing and exactly what I was looking for with the brushes.

Great vid WestronicsIrl,
I especially liked the accuracy step by step!
The only hard part for me is removing and replacing it from my car,
front wheel drive with tight access from below the only way to get at it,
my problem, but I’ll get over it………. one day!
Thanks for the vid!

Thanks

bob hope says:

Looks like the same alternator on my mazda which i just took off and put my spare one on for now. I was going to take it to a shop to get it repaired, but after watching this vid i think i will take it apart myself and check the brushes. If they are the cause, i will be ordering some. Big thanks for this.

Hi Martin,

Just droppin’ by to thank you for the quick delivery of the brushes. Placed my order last Thursday night and today Tuesday they appeared in my mailbox, in a village in the south of Spain.

With the help of your clear video I have been able to change the brushes of my Pajero alternator.

Greetings.

THANKS………VERY GOOD VIDEO!

Steve Earnshaw says:

Excellent video, easy to follow and well presented. One question please. I have the same alternator on a 96 Pajero that suddenly started to ‘rattle’ under load then it packed in altogether. I replaced it with a spare and all was OK for about five minutes then that started to rattle under load .. It’s NOT the bearings. It seems to be over charging. Activator feed is 12.5v, the other feed is only 11.5v the output is constant at 14.5v so it seems to be running at full output non stop. Steve
