Thank you for giving the Kia Soul some love. PSA: drain & fill the transmission oil every 50K at the dealership or reputable independent shop. Mind you, if its been 100K without a fluid change, talk to a professional.

Mohammed Alsare says:

Is the code p050a also a symptom?

M man says:

Horendous oil burners. Pcv valve leaks, and oil consumption is insane.

Gary Pemberton says:

The plastic cover is made out of plastic?

PEACEFUL WARRIOR says:

I'm surprised that the replacement pcv valve is steel going into an aluminum engine housing ,two different types of metal contacting one another causes electrolysis. The factory oem is plastic which will not cause the electrolysis condition

Ali Toroganan says:

How's it going, does this apply to a crdi variant, thanks much

JBL says:

Hi, I have a 2013. My RPM doesn’t work. I change already the crankshaft position sensor and still having the same issue. Can you help me with that?

Richard McLay says:

9/16 on a asian car ????

Mark M says:

Just bought a 2015 Soul. I have no idea how thorough the previous owner was with the maintenance, so your videos are gonna help me tremendously.

Christopher Farrington says:

Well done again. If I can offer a suggestion, you show part number on the couple of videos I have watched but those only pertain to that one brand. If you have the ability to provide a list of the most frequently used brands and their part numbers that would be the only improvement your videos and subscribers could ask for. I bet your local parts supplier would do that for you just to for the price of a mention. Cheers

EJ Puchalski says:

and I am going to change out my PVC…that I can understand with the carbon build-up

EJ Puchalski says:

Kia says spark plugs should be changed every 100K miles…I have never gone that many miles on a set of plugs…what kind of plugs get that type of millage… just curious .my Kia soul (2015) gets lousy gas milage around town and that's just about all I do these days…23 mpg at best….normal or not? Ed

Xitlali says:

Thank you !! I’m changing it today !!

i-flarnted says:

They differ from year and engine size. Some have the metal valve and some have the larger threaded area plastic valve.

Steve Wise says:

The Soul and Sportage especially burn oil. In fact they had to settle with the US government giving a lifetime warranty. If your red engine light goes on or a code shows up in the instrument panel, immediately take it to your KIA dealer.

Wilton Rand says:

"…this plastic cover is made out of plastic…"

Louis Loizou says:

I reuse my pcv
.just needs carburetor cleaner spray inside the pcv to unclog the dirts until you can hear the ball shaking freely inside the pcv valve

Colin Gale says:

Thanks for the video!! I just purchased a used 2012 Soul 2.0l. Useful info, listing symptoms. I'm experiencing misfires, from what I can tell. Happens more so when in gear, but it isn't constant rough idling…seems like a misfire. Check engine light just came on. I'm going to replace the PCV valve followed by replacing the plugs. Hopefully that works.

What is that silver round part with the green sticker on it? I hear a fast ticking coming from the tube attached to it in the front.
